A Maintenance Moment with Eli George

I have picked up the MaintenanceFirst program by the seat of my britches. When I came to this department, there was only one person who was basically familiar with it. There was no manual, directions, one piece of paper to tell how to use it. With Walt's help, we picked it up after it had lay dormant several years. At first it was all data entry. I had no idea how to utilize the reporting system. After printing off a manual that was emailed to us, I was able to access some of the reports.

However, the information that my boss was looking for was actually in a report that I hadn't utilized. When I came to the conference, it began on a very technical side - going into the software and how it was created, etc. Many of the others attending had been using your software for years, so they had an advantage over me. But I really enjoyed the conference. It was a very good meeting in that I received help, I had the ability to meet people from other facilities for support, some of their questions answered some of my own, and I now have a better definition of the program. It was wonderful to meet the gang from MaintenanceFirst - I can now put the name with a face. You are all a very young staff, and I think that's going to be a great asset. You are all very enthusiastic, knowlegeable, and fired up over your product. Everyone's positive attitude was apparent, and this will definitely be an attribute to help the company succeed.
